What you will be doing

The Director of Quality Programsacts as an advocate for and supports the organization by serving as a qualitychampion. Consults and/or works cross-functionally to influence and promotechange by identifying resources, facilitating contacts, establishing timeframesand coordinating the implementation tasks and evaluation of clinical qualityprograms, including QOPI, OCM, Oncology Medical Home, and specific payerprograms. This person will consult across relevant business units to provideexpertise and function as subject matter expert on clinical quality

  • Lead the development of the clinical oncology program planning and implementation (program design, implementation planning, provider education, compliance analysis, and program evaluation). Oversight of delegated medical management of contracted activities and ensure all steps are reported according to established criteria.
  • Maintain strong payer and provider relations.
  • Develop, participate, support and coordinate a new discipline of clinical quality consulting as a new offering to community oncology practices.
  • Provide direction setting and leadership, sharing knowledge of quality program(s), specialized audits, special reviews, projects and initiatives
  • Manage complex projects, people, and business priorities to achieve client satisfaction
  • Identification of clinical quality accreditations achievable via quality and process improvements
  • Provide guidance/scalable support for practices looking to obtain quality certifications
  • Support implementation programs for quality improvement
  • Influences all stakeholders to support key quality projects/programs to ensure positive solutions that deliver results
  • Consults with internal/external customers on solutions that impact quality
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of relevant benchmarking tools to support clinical staff performance metrics.
  • Act as subject matter expert and provider consultative assistance to Medical Practices in clinical workflow and nursing staff management, oncology EMR implementation, clinical research
  • Attends all business meetings as requested.
  • Participate in professional development activities designed to acquire and maintain skills to support the division mission, goals and value and major job responsibilities.
  • Facilitate and maintain internal communication within organizational leadership, vendor partners and payers
  • Assess customer needs and communicate those to executive management to modify and improve products and services.
  • Responsible for collecting information and presenting regular updates and quarterly reports.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40%.

    What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)

    Masters or Bachelors degree emphasis in scientific or health care discipline preferred. Minimum 10-15+ years of successful quality leadership in a clinical or oncology setting. Six Sigma Black Belt (or other nationally-recognized business process improvement certification) preferred. Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) highly preferred.
