About RFT Environment Management:
RFT Environment Management team is responsible for implementing scalable and optimised build and release management, implementation and adoption of strategic environment platforms, as well as Driving Process improvement initiatives in line with the Investment Bank Dev Ops strategy and is essential to optimizing the use of non-prod environments across RFT.
Overall Purpose of role
The main function of the role is to be a team lead in a [INS: Global :INS] [DEL: Prague-based RADIAL :DEL] DevOps team. [DEL: RADIAL is the strategic 'Big Data' platform within the Risk & Analytics area. :DEL] The primary focus for [INS: 2019 :INS] [DEL: 2018 :DEL] will be to onboard [INS: critical applications :INS] [DEL: RADIAL :DEL] into the [INS: RFT :INS] [DEL: RnA :DEL] environment function and optimize the environments, processes and support; this team will further expand its responsibilities to the other [INS: RFT :INS] [DEL: RnA :DEL] strategic systems.
Your Role
Operate as a critical part of the delivery team to ensure that resilience, stability and availability are built and operated into the fabric of all RFT applications
Support the delivery of functional software to Production through the software development lifecycle
Actively participate in the prioritisation of solution improvements to meet the primary objective of 24x7 availability of our Risk platforms
Embed site reliability engineering principles into the delivery lifecycle allowing the team to move to a you build it you run it model.
Delivery execution of technology initiatives e.g. Cloud Migration / Agile Adoption, DevOps, Micro-services, APIs, Enhanced Resilience Technology resilience and Cyber
Basic Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline
8+ years of experience working in a regulated industry with ideally an infrastructure background, and an understanding of service management
8+ years of overall experience as a technical leader with strong analytical skills to understand application Software Development Lifecycle and DevOps paradigm.
8+ years of experience executing a strategic agenda within a robust cost management and control framework
8+ years of experience working closely with Lead Architects, Solutions Architects, Designers and developers in supporting resolution of any critical issues.
8+ years of experience driving continuous improvement behaviour and embedding this in the wider team.
8+ years of solid understanding of how a technology infrastructure organisation works including the concepts, functions and typical systems.
5+ years in hands-on development practice skills covering: automated testing; continuous integration; Git source control.
3+ years of experience driving Agile/Lean controls and SDLC development practises.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
Expert in the theory and practice of TDD, BDD and IoC
Implementing and tuning application monitoring tools knowledge of App Dynamics is preferred.
Expertise in CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins, Team City, etc.) at developer level is also a requirement.
Hands on development-team experience in either .net or Java stack, Angular JS and groovy.3
Excellent programming skills on JavaScript technologies (angular, react, knockout, typescript)

Obsession for stable, reliable and available end to end solutions
Extensive exposure to distributed systems and the ability to engineer and drive forward the transformation of the bank systems towards a distributed, flexible, scalable and resilient architecture.
The candidate should have solid problem solving skills and ability to fix problems, even if they are outside their main knowledge area, has to be adaptable and be a fast learner of new technologies, programming languages or frameworks.
Ability to cover on call support and flexibility around working hours
