Responsible include: writing and curating news, feature, human interest and other types of pieces supporting business/company goals. Packaging and posting on internal and external enterprise digital and social platforms; and assisting in curating related content, researching for special projects, etc.Writing, curating and assisting in packaging original content posted daily to company's internal and external enterprise digital and social platforms;.Developing long-term story ideas that highlight business contributions, the colleagues who do the work, and the patients and caregivers who benefit from that work; Working with business area Editors to develop social posts supporting/promoting larger digital pieces, as well as the company at large and its people; and Contributing a steady stream (5+ pieces weekly) of content published across the company's enterprise platforms. Research topics necessary to substantiate

  • Supervise daily editing, publication and distribution of all, BMS 360 and BMS-Celgene integration site content;
  • Work closely with Director, Content Lead, to ensure an appropriate mix of content from all business areas across all three channels;
  • Serve as last-line content reviewer for pieces generated by CC&C Editors and their Corporate Affairs partners;
  • Conduct ongoing lifecycle management for, ensuring all static and variable sections of the site are kept current and regularly updated as needed;
  • Assist in the marketing and promotion of internal and external digital content;
  • Identify content that can be cross-promoted internally and externally;
  • In collaboration with Business Insights and Analytics team, monitor and evaluate performance metrics of digital content over time;
  • Support development of annual content plan covering all business areas in partnership with the Director, Content Lead, and larger CC&C team;
  • Work closely with Director, Content Lead, Operations, Design Leads to develop and launch new digital intranet platform to succeed BMS 360;
  • Contribute to weekly editorial calendar, ensuring appropriate mix of content from different business areas and support shaping of near- and long-term content plans;
  • Collaborate with Design colleagues to secure best possible still photography and video assets, including infographics, to accompany written content;
  • Ensure adherence to company's digital and social content standards and points of style.

  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate communications, agency or newspaper/trade magazine experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, as well as a keen eye for "packaging" content (e.g., headlines, subheads, sidebars, pull quotes, graphics, still photography/video)
  • Ability to curate content quickly and effectively
  • Understanding of digital publishing and digital content standards
  • Organized, accurate and accountable; passion for content creation and curation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
  • Pharma or healthcare industry experience
  • Digital layout/design experience
  • Some knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) preferred

Other qualifications:
  • B.A. in English, Journalism or related area
  • U.S. military experience will be considered towards industry experience requirements
  • Working to support the core areas of the business, while helping build the company's self-publishing capabilities, ensure high levels of accountability and visibility that could add greatly to a corporate communicators list of accomplishments and portfolio of experiences.
