Seeks Line Cooks

Brasserie 8 is a stylish French brasserie just steps from Fifth Avenue on 57th Street. Chef Geoffrey Bruijneel deftly upgrades dishes from the brasserie repertoire, offering sophisticated French cuisine amidst original artwork by L ger, Matisse and others favored by the Louvre.

Guests enter by way of a grand, sweeping, spiral staircase and dine on white tablecloths in plush dining rooms. Choose beloved classics with a new light touch like Lobster Bouillabaisse, or splendid plates of beef such as Cote du Boeuf with Sauce Bordelaise.

THE LINE COOK REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Minimum of 2 years experience in a full service, fine dining restaurant preferably New York City
  • Knowledge & experience with contemporary/ French cuisine and technique preferred
  • Culinary certificate or degree a plus
  • Resourceful, clean& organized working habits with attention to detail
  • Excellence in planning and prep
  • Great knife skills
  • Personable, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude
  • Opennes & willingness to learn
  • Ability to think quick on their feet and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 5-day/40 hour work week, including weekends and holidays
