Summary:

The Senior Associate, External Invoice Control will review Clinical Development vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance to contracts and Regeneron financial policies. The Invoice Associate/Sr Associate/Associate Manager will document and provide feedback and recommendations to the Invoice Approver based on review findings.

Job Duties:

Essential Functions required for the job. List both technical and managerial requirements if applicable.
Reviews vendor invoices and compares individual line items to agreed contracts, Investigator Grant contracts and Regeneron and/or vendor policies to assess accuracy and compliance to Regeneron financial policies
Supports Clinical Trial Managers (CTMs) and/or project managers with Invoice Review and resolution of invoice issues
Interacts with CTM, Procurement, Finance and Business Operations regarding vendor invoices and contracts as needed
Interacts with Vendors, as needed, in regards to Invoice-related questions and issues
Follows established Regeneron SOPs in external invoice review and approval
Assists with and/or may play a lead role in the development of procedures and tools for data collection
Supports mid- and/or end- of clinical study vendor reconciliations
Maintains appropriate documentation of invoice review findings in accordance with established processes for accuracy and compliance
Compiles and maintains regular status reports of common invoice concerns and any potential compliance issues and ensures information is provided to management
Utilizes Regeneron invoicing system(s), MarkView, as appropriate during the invoice review process
Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve issues
Escalates non-standard problems or issues as required. May also be involved in defining or enhancing escalation pathways
Participates in process improvement initiatives for invoice review and approval
Supports Business Operations with department deliverables which relate to invoicing review or initiatives related to invoicing review

Requirements:
Experience with review of vendor invoices
Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience a plus
Detail-oriented
Problem solving abilities, troubleshooting and resourcefulness
Analytical problem solving experience
Working knowledge of clinical drug development process
Working knowledge of financial systems
Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships internally and externally
Demonstrated communication skills to deliver messages effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
