THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD:
Develop, implement, and revise as necessary documentation and tracking systems for monitoring compliance with managed care requirements with applicable state and accrediting body regulations and licensing standards.
Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of systems and/or processes related to any new State, funding source, or Federal mandates, recommending updates or changes as appropriate.
Identify areas of potential non-compliance and assist in the development, implementation and follow-up on plans of correction as directed.
Receive and process all incoming correspondence related to authorizations.
Obtain appropriate authorizations and conduct all follow up as needed.
Provide Director, Supervisors and direct care staff as appropriate with updated reports on staff productivity, administrative documentation and compliance issues.
High School Diploma. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid state drivers license.
Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
One (1)to three (3)years of customer service experience preferred.
One (1)to three (3)years of experience working with administrative and/or financial data and systems preferred.
Experience with Private Insurance and Medicaid Authorizations preferred.
Persons with lived experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Able to practice high levels of organization and time management.
Experience with computerized systems, spreadsheets and word processing software.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Skill in typing fifty (50) wpm with 98% accuracy rate on all typed documents.
