This position is responsible for providing customer service while directing passenger movement, handling passenger baggage and ensuring that customer baggage is directed to the appropriate locations from stations in the Airport bag room.

Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge

Required Skills
  • Manually scan bar code tags on baggage that were missed by the automated system.
  • Provides customer service and direction to traveling public while accepting passenger baggage.
  • Scans the bar code(s) of oversized baggage.
  • Manually encodes bag by scanning or keying in destination information to the correct bag room location.
  • Collects and distributes tubs for usage in proper baggage handling procedures.
  • May complete computer entries and paperwork appropriate for tasks performed, if applicable.
  • Completes all safety training as assigned by the Company.
  • Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
  • Flexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer and service oriented
  • Proactive and strong work ethic and initiative; who would like to grow and develop within the organization.
  • Working knowledge of computers and equipment

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Required Experience

    Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Electrical training and experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as maintenance mechanic
  • Flexible work schedule for 24/7 operations
  • Valid Drivers License
